Eugenio Villanueva serves as a Principal of Transatlantic Power Holdings, focused on the sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and execution of TPH’s investment opportunities.​

Before joining TPH in 2023, Eugenio worked for more than 12 years for Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) and Macquarie Capital in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America.​

During his tenure at MAM, he specialized in the infrastructure asset class, particularly in the renewable energy and midstream sectors.​

Eugenio has experience across the full investment cycle (acquisitions, asset management, company turnarounds, and asset sales) having worked in 24 transactions worth more than $30bn, in both private and public markets.​

Eugenio is an alumni of the Harvard Business School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting and Financial Strategy from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM); he speaks Spanish and Italian.
